A lovely poem as usual .....soulful and thought provoking !! It made me wonder what is the Invisible thread' in a relationship between a couple based on...... is it mutual gratification, satisfaction, sense of self protection and comfort or compassion, acceptance and love borme of understanding of the self.

Do listen in to today's poem on Uncut Poetry. The poem - and the essay following it - both address the fact of what we carry inside us of people who have made a difference to us - our favourite people......

Sunil, I heard the poem once and felt it is incredible especially the way you observe and then use words to exquisitely express the various nuances of relationships and life. Actually without relationships we have no existence. Will go back again to experience the essence of the poetry!!

In Spotify I could not figure out how to Rate a poem. Please help!

All? Some? Does it matter? When our very beings are tied to someone in mysterious ways, irrespective of the million differences which might exist - that is the power of human connection. At the end of the day, we both hurt and build each other. Love then transcends the miniscule things and reaches somewhere truly mystical.....

Thanks, Mithu, for that lovely comment...made me think....

Well said, it requires Grace to understand this .... and live it.

It has the power to transform.

By the way, love to listen to your opening thoughts on what poetry means to you and the motivation behind your writing.

Arjan, thank YOU! This poem is really close to my heart. It addresses so May contradictory things about love. And how it is often better because it is rocky.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Means so much.

If a couple manages to create this unspoken bond …. Nothing can be more beautiful than this!!!

Rohini, to fight bitterly and to love hugely - I think it is easy to know what is truly inside the heart of a relationship - that determines its future....

And thanks as always for reading, commenting...truly means a lot!!!
