Welcome to a Weekly Treat!

Hi there,

The first hello is always so special! It’s ever so often the first step towards a lifelong relationship. And I hope ‘The Uncuts’ is going to be precisely that.

These have been bruising surreal times, and we have all found ways to heal, hide or survive. My hideaway has always been poetry. And since last year, I have been peeping out of my nook through a podcast I started, called Uncut Poetry. I recite a poem of mine in every weekly episode, but more than that I talk at length on the themes raised in the poem.

‘The Uncuts’ is weaved around that idea.

So each week, I will send this newsletter which would cover both the poem and the musings around it. And I will give a prompt based on the theme, for you to get into the mood with your own musings, which could be in the form of an essay, a poem, a quote, a thought. Anything which would make you experience life in deeper and subtler ways.

And as you and I settle into the newsletter, I will extend it into other things which you would like from me, which you would like doing with me.

You can’t even imagine how precious your reading ‘The Uncuts’ is to me. An artist can only survive in a community. So thanks for taking these first steps with me. Hopefully we will leave each other richer, better, kinder.
